Areas around Preveza are very interesting in terms of natural science. Since 1988, there have been researches (not only the scientific ones) and also scientific camps for young people, regularly performed. There are meetings of young nature scientists, historians and fine artists from the Czech Republic, Poland and Greece. Under guidance of experts from scientific institutions from Greece and the Czech Republic, the participants learn about the nature and history of the Mediterranean; they also assist in surveys in the area and learn the basics of scientific works. They explore life conditions in different biotopes, such as Macchia, salt water wetlands, wetland ecosystems, seashore, sea, etc. Educational programs and professional practices are not just aimed to the Preveza Peninsula; participants can also get to the places like for instance Acheron, National Reserve of Vikos-Aoos, Lefkada Island, Peloponnese Peninsula or National Reserve of Olympos. The Museum in Neochori is used as the base with all necessary equipments for small groups of biologists. Larger groups can use the town park of Agii Apostoli located nearby. There is the tent base with bathroom and field kitchen. The idea of international eco-centre has been established by Natura Opava – Czech Republic. Practice and training courses have been attended by several thousands of pupils, students and teachers for all the period of existence. Since 2013, the Neochori Museum has also been used as a centre of the Agii Trias organisation dealing with culture and natur protection (Πολιτιστικος Περιβαλλοντικος Συλλογος Νεοχωριου Αγ.Τριαδας) that have the Museum under their administration.
